Our total enrollment this school year 2009-10 was 70,  27 First year students joined by 24 second year students and 19 third year students started the school year 2009-2010 and we are proud to say that 19 graduated on June 26th. Our new school year will start in August 2010.

We are excited to have our 2009-2010 school year completed.  Thanks to the generous donation of one of our sponsors, we are able to have some significant construction accomplished during our summer vacation.  Now our students will take computer classes in a new computer room, equipped with new computers and monitors.  It will be much easier to teach them how to use the computers since they will all be using the same make and model of computer.  This new addition has also made it possible to provide Silvia and Amalie, our Principal and Vice-Principal, with refurbished "new" offices with more space which they badly needed.

Thanks to the generosity of Pilgrim Congregational Church of Pomona, CA  ten camp scholarships were awarded to PAI ,  which made it possible for eight students and two counselors to attend Cedar Lake Camp in August.  Our students and staff look forward each year to the opportunity of spending a week in this lovely setting.  Here they can get to know other kids their age of a different culture and they can share theirs.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP ALL YEAR AROUND

     * Help students purchase their daily uniforms at $75 each,  or PE Uniform at $30 each, or school shoes or tennis shoes at $35 each.

     * Provide students with two daily meals at $25 per month.

     * Help students with transportation to attend school at $30 per month.

     * Monthly cost for utilities - $400

     * In December, food Christmas baskets for students at $40 each basket. 

  All of us working as a team are creating a better community with your support, we are keeping kids at school working for a better future instead of  letting them hang out on the streets learning behaviors that may end them in jail.
